Many love to travel, but never do. Life style, in contemporary times, allows but little time to relaxation, hobbies, or things that you love to do. Travel is one such thing – Many of us love to travel yet opportunities being so less, give up on the entire idea or somehow lose interest. Not that we love travel any less, incapacity for the same demotivates us completely.

A motivated person can achieve anything they set their mind to. But how does one stay motivated, especially to travel, when you are busy working and living life while your family and freinds disparage your ideas, you’re overwhelmed planning your trip, or maybe you’re just burnt out from being on the road?

Motivation is not an unlimited wellspring but a battery that has to be kept fully charged. While the idea of travel is always inspiring, sometimes life gets in the way and then suddenly, your eyes are no longer on the prize.

But there are ways to keep the spirits up and nourish the traveler in you notwithstanding the circumstances and here they are.

1. Research

Find out about the places you’ve always wanted to go. The more you know, the more you’d want to go.

2. Give it time

You were planning a May trip but when May got here you got busy – NEVER let that happen. Stick to your travel timeline – well make one, to start with.

3. Read travel blogs

It’s quite wonderful to read about adventures. And encouraging when they’re real stories by real people in REAL TIME.

4. Read books

Writers weave stories around places and it makes you stop and wonder – were you there, would you have had a story of your own?

5. Watch movies

Remember Walter Mitty? Well, there couldn’t be a greater motivation than a visual preview of destinations you might want to travel to.

6. Learn a language

If you’ve learnt French, you might as well test yourself  in crowded cafes, along the pretty streets of France. Why should you waste a skill anyway?

7. Have accountability
